We are happy to know that the St. George Indian Orthodox Church Sheffield, U.K, is inaugurating a Parish Website in the month of August 2011. We hope this effort will nurture our mission to uphold the Eastern Orthodox Tradition and worship. This remarkable moment also gives us an opportunity to think more about our vocation and to reaffirm our commitment to the Church and Society at large.

I am very much delighted to know that you are launching a web site for your church.

It is needless to say that media facilities like web site help information to be disseminated to a wider group of people by which the bond of fraternity will be strengthened. This will be a new milestone in the history of this parish and will contribute richly in sharing your life and witness to the gracious God both within the Parish and beyond. I pray that this network and sharing will become a great blessing and engage the youth and children, men and women to be involved actively in all aspects of the Parish’s mission as you bear witness to God Almighty in this land.

I appreciate very much the efforts of the Vicar, Managing committee and all the members of the parish in this venture.

May I entrust you to the mercy and protection of God and to the blessings of St. Mary, the mother of God, St. Thomas our Apostle, and to all the saints and martyrs of the church.
